I am Dr. Leonid Datsevich, a physicist and specialist in process engineering
in organic synthesis (chemical engineering).
As a young scientist involved in numerous experiments that required precise gas flow measurements
using soap bubble flowmeters, I came up with the idea of automating the flowmeter to free up
time for more interesting tasks. At the time, however, I could not realize this idea, as I was
fully engaged in developing new industrial technologies and overseeing the construction
of industrial plants.
Then, as now, I noticed how much time my colleagues and doctoral researchers
spend on routine tasks.
The original idea was later revived by my friends and colleagues at the
University of Bayreuth.
After completing my work at the University of Bayreuth, I returned to my vision of
making laboratory work easier.
For this, I am very grateful to my friends and colleagues at the University of Bayreuth
as well as to my wonderful team.
